The Shanghai International Circuit is a 5.451 km track known for its unusual layout and heavy braking zones. The opening sequence of corners tightens continuously through Turn 1 and Turn 2, testing front-end grip and driver patience. The long 1.2 km back straight into a heavy braking hairpin at Turn 14 creates one of the best overtaking opportunities on the calendar. Tyre management and aerodynamic efficiency are especially important here because of the track’s mix of long straights and sweeping medium-speed corners.
